How to Clean a Fish Aquarium

It is very necessary to clean a fish aquarium because if it is not regularly cleaned then the fish may fall sick due to the amount of bacteria and algae present in the aquarium water. A fish aquarium must be cleaned every week in order to clear filter strainers of plant debris and other waste materials in order to ensure safety of your beloved fish.
In order to clean the aquarium, make sure to unplug all your equipments and wait for a few minutes for your heater to cool down. Then clean off the algae to siphon out the aquarium. Always use aquarium approved products for scrapping of the algae because using other products will scratch the glass or possibly introduce harmful chemicals in to the tank.
You must also use gravel cleaner for siphoning out the water from the fish tank. One of the main advantage of using a gravel siphon is that you will be able to lift up the gravel and get rid of the waste products without removing any of the gravel or fish. Also make sure to clean the canopy or hood of the aquarium with an algae scraper or scrubber pad. It is however advisable that soap or any household cleaners must not be used for cleaning the aquarium.
After clean all the algae and other waste materials refill the fish aquarium with one bucket of tap water and try to get the temperature close to the aquarium temperature. Gently pour the water into the tank and repeat it until the tank is filled. Lastly, plug your equipment back into the fish aquarium.
