Feeding a high quality diet to your pet is a necessity to keep your pet healthy and strong. Now –Day’s markets are flooded with variety of options to choose from wet dog food, dry dog food, high protein dog food, high fat, low protein, canned dog food, homemade dog food and low fat food. To choose food type is a tough job. As every category mentioned has its benefits and disadvantages too. So one has to be careful while selecting and feeding the type of food.

One should pick a food which has high content of animal protein. Dogs also require nutrients like carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, fats, proteins. It is advisable to avoid generic-label or store-label brands as the food is probably from bulk suppliers. One should not pick products that have unidentified meat or bone meal. One should also check the expiration date before buying food products from the market or store.
